Barmouth
Barmouth is a lovely place to visit with a setting that is hard to beat . The location , at the mouth of the estuary , made it ideal for ship- building in past times but as Britain industrialised , the town began to rely on visitors and tourism . When the railways arrived in the 1860’s they allowed many more tourists to visit . This is a 1956 BR poster .
