Berwick- upon- Tweed
This is an evocative Poster of the Town with unusual colouring, which was produced in 1935 for LNER. The view is from the south bank of the river and estuary pointing north west, so perhaps the palete is to hint at the colours of heather over the border in Scotland ? Whatever the reasoning , it it highly effective and must really have caught passengers eyes when they were displayed on railway platforms .
