This is a 1950 BR poster for Fashionable Bridlington - you can almost feel the heat and the sunshine !

This wonderful piece of artwork was commissioned in 1949 and used in 1950.

Workers from all over Yorkshire came to these fashionable resorts , but soon after the introduction of cheap air fares , holiday makers went to Spain instead.
