Brighton – Madeira Drive
This classic 1920’s Poster shows the famous sheltered walk of Madeira Drive . This was built on reclaimed land with the intention of stabilising cliff erosion and it then became a fashionable place to stroll. One cannot help but wonder if the name was chosen so as to draw a parallel with the climate on the island of the same name !
