Buxton
The Derbyshire Spa of Blue Waters
This poster was commissioned by British Railways in 1949 and issued a year later . Buxton is a spa town because of a geothermal spring which rises at a constant temperature of 28 degrees Centigrade - ( 82 degrees Fahrenheit ) and there are reputedly many health benefits from drinking and bathing in it’s waters.
