Chester Cross
This was a joint GWR / LMS Poster from 1935 showing the elegance and character of the city centre between the Wars .
The two companies collaborated well to advertise many of the places where their services overlapped.
Chester was one of the three main regional centres in Roman Britain , not least because the river Dee was still navigable from the sea at that time .
