The Pier at Penzance
This s a post WW2 GWR Poster depicting the Harbour and Pier at Penzance and was issued in 1946.
Before the second World War the Cornish Riviera Express was the ' GWR’ flagship run , leaving London Paddington at 10.30am and arriving in Penzance at 4.55pm. This service had been introduced as early as 1904 and was helped by the issue of a series of books , the first book ever to be published by a Railway company
