Devon – Clovelly

This is a quite superb British Railways Poster of Clovelly in North Devon, depicted for BR in 1951 Artwork.

The composition is masterly with the street leading the eye down to the harbour below and towards the sailing vessel, and you can almost feel the heat shimmering out of the cottage walls .
