This is a classic 1950’s reprint of a 1930 LNER Poster.

It shows Sir Nigel Gresley’s Class A4 “ Pacifics “ thoroughbred engines , being refurbished inside Doncaster Works. This was always referred to as “ the Plant “ and was established in the town in 1853. An A4- number 4468 the Mallard , still holds the record at 126mph ,for being the fastest steam locomotive in the World.
