Sadly , the clarity and crispness of this poster is not as high as we would like because the quality of the original we had to work was less than wonderful . It is still a lovely poster though, and it's lack of sharpness is reflected in the reduced price.
Dover
Dover has historically , always been a vitally strategic town , facing France , as it does ,across the narrowest part of the English Channel.
It was always therefore , over the centuries , a prime target for any invasion forces, and as a result of this , Dover Castle was built in medieval times and has guarded the town and cliffs ever since .
This poster was commissioned by Southern Railways in the 1930’s
