Dover
The Railways came to Dover from two directions with lines built by rival companies. South East Railways arrived in 1844 from the Folkstone direction followed in 1861 by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway ( LC&DR ) , who built a direct line to Canterbury .
This poster , commissioned in 1958 exhibits considerable artistic licence and positions the viewer as one of the birds !
