This is a beautiful 1950’s depiction of the South Downs for British Railways.

It shows Beachy Head and is looking towards Seaford.

The superb coastline is protected , and a 10 mile walk to Seaford following the South Downs Way over the Severn Sisters through Birling Gap and Cuckmere Haven is certainly one of the finest coastal walks in Britain.
