Dunkeld Cathedral
This is a beautiful joint LMS/ LNER poster from 1935 .
Thomas Telford built the graceful bridge in 1809 . The forest surrounding Dunkeld is composed mainly of larch and, close to the Cathedral is a sign indicating where the ‘parent larch ‘ can be found . This tree came from Austria in the 1730’s and became the source of most of the trees around the town.
