It was issued with the new LNER slogan

' It's quicker by Rail ' a year later.

The staggering architecture of the Cathedral and the fact that it was built over 1000 years ago , never fails to amaze the visitor . This poster is one of Fred Taylor’s greatest achievements in poster art . His colour scheme is sumptuous ,and the composition is without fault .
