Grain Ships on the Orwell

This wonderful example of a master artist’s craft is shown in this poster issued by BR in about 1955 . Mason is famous for his maritime paintings and he has brought all his artistry to this poster . It shows three types of grain ship in the river Orwell , the smallest, taking grain upstream and the two larger ships , a clipper and purpose built grain carrier , used for exports.
