Glamis Castle
Macbeth resided here in Shakespeare's play of that name and it was the childhood home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, mother of the present Queen.
It has been home to the Earls of Strathmore since 1372 and has featured extensively in fiction and legend . The locals say that the castle has more dark secrets than any other castle in Scotland . It houses some wonderful interior design and the curved plasterwork ceilings are a sight to behold
The “Kirriemuir” on the poster was the nearest station .
