Gloucester Cathedral
This is a copy of the original 1935 jointly issued GWR/LMS poster of the Cathedral in Gloucester . It was re-issued in 1948 by British Railways . Worship started on this site around about 678 AD and the foundation stone of the present structure was laid in 1089. The artist has portrayed Henry III being crowned here in 1216.
