1925 LNER Poster of Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland where the artist has depicted how the wall must have looked shortly after completion. It shows a patrol returning to barracks. The might of the Roman Army and the technology they introduced , must have seemed awesome to the local inhabitants when the invasion first began.
