Hereford
British tourism could be said to have begun in 1745 in this part of the world when John Egerton ( later Bishop of Durham ) began to take friends on boat trips from Ross on Wye .
Hereford became the centre for touring the valley and this poster was commissioned by LMS in about 1935.
