Ilkley
This is a 1957 British Railways ( NER ) poster of the " Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales" .
The Town is situated in the lower reaches of Wharfedale and its heritage and history go back thousands of years. Evidence shows that this area has been inhabited since before the early Bronze Age ( around 2000 BC )
The open air swimming pool was part of the Town's many attractions.
