This is absolutely magnificent poster art , commissioned by British Railways Southern Region in the 1950’s , from one of it’s masters .

It is full of life , colour and energy.

For some , it is the symbol of the Isle of Wight – Cowes Week and all that it entails , and is wonderfully captured in a poster which hardly speaks of railways- except of course , they could get you there on British Railways ships from Portsmouth and Lymington .
