This is a wonderfully colourful and evocative 1953 BR Poster.

The Artist has chosen to look up at the Viaduct from a boat on the river, just as the train crosses . Merriott used colour scattered along the river bank to give this simple bridge some added interest. The reflection in the water is masterfully accomplished.
