This is a wonderfully atmospheric 1955 British Railways poster of King’s Cross station.

It is one of the best steam railway posters ever produced with its colours, composition , movement and style hard to beat.

Once the LNER had been formed in 1923 from GCR , GER , GNR and NER plus the Scottish companies , it set about advertising Kings Cross as THE way to start your journey to Scotland .The station was completed by 1852.
