The Day Begins
This 1946 “ Collector’s” Poster captures the Princess Coronation Class engine 6255 “ City of Hereford “ being made ready for its tour of duty on a northbound express. This was one of the artists first railway posters and will most likely be of inside one of the huge engine sheds in LMS territory in Camden in north London. After being readied , the engines reversed down Camden Bank and into Euston Station to be coupled up to passenger carriages ready for the journey north .
