This brilliant poster was produced for the Empire Exhibition of 1925.

Both the previous exhibition from 1924, and this one, were huge enterprises that attracted millions of visitors , and naturally , the railway companies provided enormous assistance in “ People Moving “.

The Empire at that time was made up of 58 nations and only Gambia and Gibraltar did not take part .

LNER excelled in marketing and it was partly due to the many colourful posters they produced for these events that they gained a considerable lead in railway advertising at that time.
