This 1930’s LNER poster shows the Royal State Coach in front of Westminster Abbey .

This is one of the very few examples of railway posters where the Abbey was portrayed, and it shows the grandeur of this magnificent building.There is a very clever contrast between the colours in the foreground against the majesty of the building in the background , drawing your attention - which , of course , is what it was intended to do !
