This is a superb example of Railway Poster Art
It shows the Palace of Westminster from across the river Thames and was commissioned by Great Western Railways in the early 1940’s but only used in the 1946 campaign.
It was one of the last to be commissioned by GWR before the four main Railway Companies were nationalised to form British Railways in 1948.
Artwork by Frank Henry Mason ( 1876 – 1965 )
