St Paul’s Cathedral

This beautifully composed c 1925 poster gives an idea of the huge size of Wren’s architectural masterpiece .The building was completed in 1677. The Dome is 102 ft in diameter and, including the tower above it is 365 ft high.

After the destruction caused by the Great Fire , which burned for 3 days in September 1666, this must have seemed to have been a true colossus to the residents of the City .
