For State Occasions
This is a wonderful ceremonial poster from the 1930’s .
It shows the Royal State Coach pulled by a team of eight horses and used by Royalty since 1762 . According to our current Monarch ,it is not very comfortable to ride in because of the type of and basic lack of suspension .
The Coach was built by Samuel Butler and weighs four tonnes !
Artwork by Christopher Clark ( 1875 – 1942 )
Code number 61841
