London by LMS – The Tower
This 1925 LMS Poster is painted from the river looking north .
When it was a prison , victims arriving by boat must have trembled at the size of building looming above them . LMS sought to increase tourism and rail travel from elsewhere in it’s empire, so this poster would most likely have been displayed in Birmingham , East Midlands , Liverpool and Manchester.
