Northumberland

This poster , produced for British Railways as part of his 1950 commission , shows a tranquil Northumberland scene , possibly either Redesdale or Coquetdale , showing the unspoilt landscape and a shepherd trudging homeward for lunch. The artist was Spanish born who fled Spain to escape the Franco repressions and their civil war
