Tom Tower

This tower, which stands on St Aldgates, at the entrance to the famous Christ Church College, is named after the bell , Great Tom . The structure , with its octagonal lantern was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built over a two year period beginning in 1681. The poster was issued as a joint GWR/LMS publication a year before WW2 began
