This is a joint GWR / SR Poster issued in 1936 Depicting this Naval City when Britain’s Sea Power was at its height.

The ship in the forefront is either HMS Rodney or HMS Nelson. The Naval facility was established in 1690 by William of Orange and , over the years, the facilities have grown to cover and area of over 2.6 square miles.
