Ripon
This is a mid 1930 's poster by an artist who was born in France and loved the style of Van Gogh. His paintings caught the eye of the LNER who were looking for freshenss in their advertising at that time. The first place of worship was built on the site of the Cathedral by St Wilfred in the 7 th century , and the current structure is the fourth complete one on that site .
