Scarborough Harbour
This is a quite wonderful poster of Scarborough’s south bay shown from below the Castle and looking north . The small harbour and streets of fishermen’s cottages were built in the lee of the castle for natural protection against the harsh winter elements and marauding invaders. The poster was issued by British Railways in 1950
