On the Beach at Scarborough
As well as our shoe conscious Bathing Belle , we can see part of the Grade 2 listed Grand Hotel.
Just below her left knee on the foreshore , is the equally famous Scarborough Spa . Waters with supposed healing properties were discovered in the 17 th century, and soon , people flocked ( by Rail of course ) to the area to be cured . The image has us looking northwards towards Ravenscar and Whitby .
