This is a wonderful 1955 British Rail - Scot Rail - poster capturing the magnificence of Britain's highest mountain. It is the remains of a huge granite volcanic caldera which exploded about 400 million years ago.

The north face is for the mountaineers but walkers can ascend to the summit from Glen Nevis up the Old Bridle Path .
