Southport – The Lido
This truly outstanding Poster from the 1930’s captures everything The Railway Companies and Southport Corporation wanted to portray about the mild climate of this Seaside Town , and the benefits of sunshine and fresh air .
This Poster was commissioned by The Liverpool Overhead Railway Company and the intention clearly was to liken a trip to Southport to an adventure to the South of France !
