This is a 1929 LMS Poster of the bandstand and tree lined Boulevard that is Lord Street .
Napoleon 3rd lived in Southport for five years until 1851, and when he returned to France to become Emperor , much of the centre of Paris was laid out with wide tree- lined Boulevards – possibly inspired by Southport .
