Teignmouth
This is a 1949 BR Poster for this delightful Coastal Town. Teignmouth sits at the mouth of the river Teign where the railway swings inland to follow the estuary , heading for Newton Abbot and all stations to Penzance .
The Railway from Exeter runs along the Coast, engineered by Brunel and hugs the shore, diving through tunnels in the cliffs and running along the sea wall through Dawlish , where it regularly does battle with the high waves coming ashore during severe storms .
