THE EAST COAST

This is a classic 1938 poster of Yorkshire’s East Coast .

It depicts the coastline between Sandsend and Whitby and when seen full size as a quad royal , really catches the eye . What is so noticeable is the colour palette that the artist used , with the North Sea looking its usual tropical self – just like southern Spain or around a Greek island !
