This is a glorious G.W.R Poster aimed at the American market comparing Torquay with the French Riviera. It is very unusual in poster art to portray such a deeply grey sky but the shadows indicate bright sunshine and the people not dressed elegantly for shopping , are clearly ready for a dip in the sea !
