Evesham is built on the bend of the River Avon and rich alluvial soils , abundance of water and shelter from the cold easterly winds of winter have made this area into a hugely productive market garden.

This LMS poster from the 1930’s has us looking toward the Cotswold hills with the river Avon meandering in the foreground .
