South Wales Docks

This wonderful Industrial scene at Cardiff Docks was issued by the Docks and Inland Waterways Executive in 1948.

At its peak , Cardiff docks had a quayside length of more than 6.5 miles . The Taff railway company had an agreement with Cardiff Docks Company to transport coal but the Barry Railway Company and Barry docks eventually overtook Cardiff by undercutting and being more efficient than them .
