WARKWORTH CASTLE – NORTHUMBERLAND
This is a magnificent poster depicting the view upstream from the mouth of the river Coquet at Amble ,northwards towards Warkworth and its castle .
The Castle was probably laid out in its present form in about 1200 ad and was the favoured residence of the powerful Percy family from the 14 th to the 17 th centuries . The Castle is currently managed by English Heritage .
