WARKWORTH CASTLE – NORTHUMBERLAND

This is a magnificent poster depicting the view upstream from the mouth of the river Coquet at Amble ,northwards towards Warkworth and its castle .

The Castle was probably laid out in its present form in about 1200 ad and was the favoured residence of the powerful Percy family from the 14 ^th to the 17 th centuries . The Castle is currently managed by English Heritage .
