This is a 1950’s ( BR ) Weston Region Poster promoting family holidays in the sun.

Special trains ran from several major cities on Saturdays in the summer in the years after WW2. Being only 18 miles south of Bristol it was always very popular for day trips out from the city , and even now , the M5 is often clogged with local residents making the trip into the seaside town.
