Weston - super - Mare

Sadly , the clarity and crispness of this poster is not as high as we would like because the quality of the original we had to work was less than wonderful . It is still a lovely poster though, and it's lack of sharpness is reflected in the reduced price.

Weston – Super –Mare

The Tropicana Lido seen here in this 1937 joint GWR /LMS poster shows the daring Art Deco design of the diving board which at the time was the tallest in Europe . The Swimming pool , at over 10, 000 square feet ,was also the largest in Europe. It was these , and the long , safe, sandy beaches which attracted visitors and to which , the railway companies were only too happy to provide the transport .
