This poster shows Bootham Bar which leads into High Petergate, and the Minster West Front . It was produced for British Railways in the 1960’s when they were focusing on history , and advertised some of Europe’s most fascinating places . It is one of the very last commissions of poster work from an artist before the introduction of photography into advertising.
